Setting up your space for a remote coaching conversation

The Environment

Pay extra special attention to the environment you create for yourself for your coaching engagement. It will help enormously if you can put some time into making a space that is as exquisitely supportive of your comfort, presence, and attention as possible.

Some days before we are due to meet, please start attending to the space you'll use. Please do what you can to make it as supportive a place for your unfolding and participation as you can.

Lighting & Beauty

Attend to comfort, lighting, beauty, quiet and support. Perhaps you'll consider bringing in a lamp or two if needed to provide comfortable lighting. You may find that organizing to be able to see something beautiful or living - a plant, or some art - will support you in being present and nourished during our time together.

Seating

Pay attention to what you'll sit on and how you'll sit. Perhaps some cushions, or a blanket thrown over your chair will help make you feel comfortable and held.

Being hydrated

Arrange to have a jug or bottle of water on hand to keep yourself hydrated.

Making requests

Please think about requests you can make of others who you share your space with so that you can engage undisturbed and most fully.
